Itinerary
You'll grab your breakfast. Then, our safari guide will pick you up from the lodge. You'll have a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park with your lunch boxes in tow.
Tarangire National Park is awesome for bird watching and has lots of animals, especially in the dry season when the Tarangire River is the only water source around. You can often see lions and other predators. The park is home to over 500 bird species, including some that you can only find in Tanzania.
After breakfast, our safari guide will get you from your hotel and take you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We'll drive through the Ngorongoro Highland until you reach the entrance of Serengeti National Park, where the game drive begins.
Serengeti is a big park in Northern Tanzania and it's a special place recognized by the World Heritage. It covers about 15,000 sq km and is home to over 2 million plant-eating animals, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and around 500 types of birds. During the dry season, you'll see huge herds of wildebeests and zebras migrating.
But even when it's not migration time, the Northern Serengeti has lots of other animals like lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelopes.
In the evening, you'll head to where you're staying for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you'll go on a game drive to the northern part of Serengeti for an overnight stay. You'll explore the Bologonja and Mara River areas to see the amazing wildebeest migration.
In the Northern Serengeti, usually from July to September, lots of wildebeests and zebras brave the strong river currents and big Nile crocodiles to get to the other side. From there, they continue their journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

This big migration is when lots of wildebeests, zebras, and other animals cross the Mara River to reach Masai Mara in Kenya. The coolest time to see this awesome event is from July to early October each year.
